EEI Filing Requirement for Shipments between the Continental United States and Puerto Rico

The Electronic Export Information (EEI) is the electronic version of the old Shipper’s Export Declaration (SED) document. The EEI contains all the information on an export transaction that the exporter must submit electronically via the Automated Export System to the U.S. government before exporting.
