The first Bluetide Caribbean Summit was held from August 4th through 6th in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, launched a new era of Caribbean-Atlantic cooperation to establish the region as a global epicenter of coastal economic resilience and blue economy development. As an essential element of a robust economy, small businesses facilitate innovation, exchange ideas, and workforce skills development. The Summit provided a unique opportunity to bring small business owners into the conversation and the many layers of the $12.8 trillion blue economy.
In providing subject-matter expertise and support, the Economic RSF organized a series of four workshops to be included at the Bluetide Caribbean Summit. They aimed to highlight the opportunities for small businesses and entrepreneurs to participate in the multitude of blue economy initiatives, financial resources, and technology innovations that exist today and are under development for the future. The workshops were presented live at the El Conquistador Resort and virtually for a wider audience.
